How bookings work

From gig offer to confirmed booking

How it works

  1. 1

    Receive gig offer

You get an email and push notification with the venue, date, time, rate, and full gig brief.

  2. 2

    Review the details

Check the gig brief for genre expectations, tech specs, house rules, and set times. Make sure it works for you.

  3. 3

    Accept or decline

Click accept or decline directly from the email, with no login needed. You can also respond from the app.

  4. 4

    Booking confirmed

Both you and the booker are notified. The gig syncs to your calendar and appears on your Gigs page.

Pro tip: Accept quickly. Some venues use first-come fill-ins and move fast when their preferred artists are slow to respond.

Pro tip: Check the gig brief for venue-specific expectations like dress code, no-request policies, or genre restrictions.

In detail

When a venue wants to book you, they send a gig offer through Gig Pool. You'll receive an email (and a push notification if you've enabled them) with the full details: venue name, space, date, set time, rate, and a complete gig brief. The gig brief is your prep sheet. For DJs, it includes the space's genre expectations, decks, mixer, and booth monitor. For bands and musicians, it shows backline available, PA system, stage size, monitors, and load-in logistics. House rules and any special notes from the booker are included for all performer types. Read it carefully. It sets the expectations for your performance. You can accept or decline the offer directly from the email link. No login required. Once you accept, the booking is confirmed instantly and both you and the booker are notified. The gig appears in your calendar and on your Gigs page. If the venue needs to adjust your set time after you've accepted, you'll get a notification showing both the old and new times so nothing catches you off guard. You can also message the booker directly from the gig detail page if you have questions. B2B sets work the same way. You'll see your B2B partner names in the booking details (one or two other artists, for a 2 or 3-performer set). Partners can be any combination of performer types: DJ + DJ, DJ + saxophonist, band + solo musician, or any mix. Each artist receives their own independent offer and can accept or decline separately. The roster shows the combined name (e.g. "DJ Alpha B2B DJ Beta", or for a 3-way set, "DJ Alpha B2B Sax Pete B2B The Band Name") once everyone accepts.
